Under the sun, volume two
(Lyrics)
“So Low”
I dream at day, I dream at night
Livin' the dream because this living just don't feel right
No, this living just don't feel right
Look ahead and I worry, look behind and I cry
The history and the mystery keep taking my mind
and keep me from the present time.
Night tripping and sipping on doubt
I fell under a spell, and I never got out
So low, So low.
There's nothing new, coming out of the blue
and nowhere to run down here Under The Sun.
I try to live where I give more than I take
So I make the kind of love that you can't fake
Cause it's the love left unsaid that weighs heavy on your head
Don't save it for the grave, or it might as well be dead, dead weight
so don't wait.
You borrow happiness from tomorrow
You pay it back someday, So I steal
not to feel the way I do today
So low, so low.
Don't you know?
Im so low, so low.
At rock bottom it's raining stones
That were thrown at the sky by those who never made it
Or made it out alive.
The sky is not falling, this might not be my calling
but I've got to try.
So low, so low.
It sure hurts getting out of my comfort zone
But like the rain, we need the pain
If we want to grow.
I want to grow,
and then I'll go.

“TOO HIGH”
Some days I feel so lazy
I can’t get out of bed
And other days I feel so crazy
Running circles in my head
And it’s all fight or flight, I don’t freeze
But I can go all night.
There ain’t no need to panic
Just because the doctor called it manic
This episode is one I wrote
Up and up, away I go.
Only coming down if I crash and burn
I never learned, but I had my fun.
It was a good run for a son and a gun
Who flew too close to the sun
Too high, just a bit too high.
Oh baby, too high
trying to make it out alive.
But I never learned to fly
Too high, just a bit too high.
Oh babe too high, too high
Trying to make it out alive.
And if it’s my last time, can I let it ride?
Too high, just a bit too high.
I got too high, everybody’s just trying
To make it out alive.
But I went high, too high
Just a bit too high.

"Rocking Horse"
Noisy hands play down the hall
Where a rocking horse would soon take its fall
And farmhouse songs were never long enough
to see the rise and fall of GI joe, but what a bluff
to say that I'm ready to move on
pack my things and I'd be gone
To paint a picture with my words
to make something of what I've learned.
If I never see this place again,
I want to remember where it all began.
And if I could bring back the love in my hands
I bet all my horses will be rocking till the end.
Six years old and I'm on top of the world,
I've got my pudding pie but I've yet to kiss a girl.
Im talking about those tree house days
where never coming down was just one of our ways
That all seem to fade away with time
I'll unpack my things, and learn to cry.
And if there's nothing ahead for me
I hope my roots will keep me
right where I need to be.
If I never see this place again
I want to remember where it all began.
And if I could bring back the love in my hands
I bet all my horses will be rocking till the end.
If I never see this place again
I want to remember where it all began.
And if I could bring back the love in my hands
I bet all my horses will be rocking till the end.

“Bandito!” (based on true events)
In the bandwagon there were four banditos,
they came in hot and hungry as mosquitoes.
All the way from the coast of California,
and from the little that I know, I just want to warn ya.
They wait till sundown, underground and out of sight.
They hightailed it to Maryland in the middle of the night.
It's where they thrive and comfortably survive
between their shady hellos and no goodbyes.
You say you're wandering,
but you're out of breath and lost
you better watch your words,
all your stories have begun to cross.
Bandito! you've got to go.
You're causing a stir, disrupting my flow.
Get back on your wagon or a one-way bus,
This town just ain't big enough
for the two of us.
We caught one in the valley
trying to rob a car,
belonged to a friend of mine,
now you've gone to far.
The next will use his kindness to reel,
but from his own mama he was quick to steal.
On the night their leader went and broke some deals
was the night his mama's wagon was the getaway wheels.
And the third bandito, he don't say much
but he's a partner in crime and the leader's crutch.
When you gave us fake names we saw right through to your aims.
You say you come in love and in peace but we know all of your thieving games.
Bandito! you've got to go.
You're causing a stir, disrupting my flow.
Get back on your wagon or a one way bus
This town just ain't big enough
for the two of us.
They plan to stick around this overcrowded town.
They've got no plans of ever being homeward bound.
They need a place to crash, somewhere to hide their stash.
They've got a wagon full of goods and bags full of cash.
The leader stepped up, and then claimed to own.
he's just the biggest leech on his stolen thrown.
he's making up laws and calling out shots
he wants to be the first to hand pick from all the jackpots.
Then he turned his back,
stole the wagon and all they had.
Hit a wall, and then came in the law now
how will they get home with nothing at all?
Bandito! I don't know but you've got to go.
You're causing a stir, disrupting my flow.
Get back on your wagon or a one way bus
this town just aint big enough for the two of us.
Bandito! now you've got to go.
You're causing a stir disrupting my flow.
Get back on your wagon and dont give me no fuss.
This town just aint big enough
No this town just ain’t big enough,
No, this town just aint big enough
for the two of us.

"Go On Conductor"
All aboard, all aboard
A wake up call sounds the horn
Arriving on time tomorrow, not a minute less
Now departing on the track-a-bout express
Onward you go, never once out of line
You hold the track record
for always being on time
Never missing a beat
as magnets wheel your feet.
But I’m feeling footloose
So I get up from my seat.
Today I missed my train
Hoping this moment would never go away
Been saving a golden ticket for such a rainy day
But it seems that gold just won’t get old either way.
Step back, step back
The doors are now closing front to back
You can stay here but
You may never make it there
And most of us are never ever coming back
We’re never coming back.
Today I missed my train
Hoping this moment would never go away
Bern saving a golden ticket for such a rainy day
But it seems that gold just won’t get old either way.
Go on conductor, go.
Get your back on the road
Happy or dead end, I don’t want to know
Just go on conductor, go on.
Go on, get your show on the road.
Every brand new day
Holds tomorrow’s tale, but today
my tail wasn’t on the Queensland rail.
With no point B, you can never get lost, fall short, or fail.
I’ll get on my walkabout but my first step,
my first step is to derail.
So go on conductor, go.
Get your show back on the road
Happy or dead end, you know
I don’t ever want to know
Just go on conductor, go on
Get your show back on the road.
Today I missed my train
Hoping this moment would never go away
Ive been saving a golden ticket for such a rainy day
But it seems that gold just won’t get old
either way, either way.
